Video Camcorder Import Video Problem? Cant import with usb cable?

help my video camcorder did not come with a cd to install it to make it work by putting or importing videos from it to your computer. It never came with a cable. So i just used a normal usb like for cameras. it works but when i plug it, it says cannot find the device. and says locate it. but how can i that there is no cd for it.

But then in school for one of our video projects, we used a cable from our computer class and then it just worked??? dont know how we were able to import the vid. i dont know how it was possible bcuz when i tried it at home with my usb cable it says it needs to locate the software. Does anyone know what kind of usb or cable i can use.

Plz dont tell me contact your device company and get a cable. i dont want that. i just want soemthing that can be bought in like bestbuy, target, etc... Anyone know how that was possible. But he just had some kind of usb cable or somemthing. Because what i have does not work, but lets me locate the device with a disk. but doenst have one.

Window movie maker problem?

When i plug my camcorder (sony dcr sr45) and i drag the movie clips into window movie maker and when i click on the movie nothing shows up and something pop up and closes the program.

important a wind filter in a camcorder

How important is a wind filter in a camcorder?

I am shopping for camcorders and I found a good model, the Sony HDR-Sr11 but i has no wind filter. I want to shoot some short movies with friends and was wondering how important the wind filter is. Also I hear it isnt true 1080p. can anyone clear this for me? Also so you think the Canon HG 10 or Canon HF 100 is a better buy? These 3 are the ones i am thinking about but now i am leaning toward the Sony. advice?

Camcorder and MAC compatibility issues?

I have a Samsung sc-mx10 camcorder and a MACbook computer. I understand that my MAC will only see the camcorder as a storage device but when I view the files in any media player I only get sound no video. Is there a way to fix this? I even used my Divx converter, still no luck.

What's wrong with my camcorder?

I have a Sony Video Camera Recorder. Model No. CCD-TRV328, if that helps any. I can play tapes that I have previously recorded on fine. They show up clear with no problem. But now, when I look out of the viewfinder to record, it shows up a black screen. I don't know what's wrong with it. It was working great. It hasn't been dropped, and believe me, it's definitely not cheap! Does anyone know what could be wrong with it? What can I do to fix it?

How to convert a song to a format which can be installed into ipod?

I used a webside (www.vitomp3.com) to convert a videoclip on youtube into mp3 format. But then my library in itunes can't play songs like that, so i couldn't intstall them into my ipod. Do you know how to solve this problem ? Plzzz show me thanks a lot.
